I think the last race we ever had was when I had my 327 and we raced in front of Broadway united. That was my first ever full NOS pass in town.   ;D

Well let's see, since I left Altus I put together 1 Olds that Steve now drives....of course when I owned it, it was a street car....a V8 Luv pickup, V8 S10, 65 Chevy II, and now that Bill special 78 Nova....which is sitting sans motor as I try to make up my mind what to put in it.....I've got a flat top 355 with a solid lift cam or a 406 with vortec heads and a little hydraulic cam....decisions decisions....

Too bad we don't have that old 62 anymore.   ;D

Go with the 406 for sure!

Well, if we had only known that it would have come back in style.....should have put one of those 283s in it with a 4 speed.....I just cry when I think of those floor pans.....so perfect......

Ever think of selling it???? I've looked for a sedan for years....had a chance at one in Altus 4 years ago but the person changed his mind.....I know where a 55 two door hard top is located at back there but like you I want a sedan....

well its already spoken for but he'd would probably be talked out of it for a couple of hot wheels. Rowdy is maybe a little spoiled.  

But hit up bowties for me he was telling me he knew where there was a nother one about a month ago I think Jeff just bought a 57 he was telling me he bought something but I dont remember what it was and I haven't seen it. If you do get one try to make sure you can repair the front fenders Last I looked they dont make repos for the 55 but do for the 56&7 go figure. I got lucky and found a good fender the replace the bad one

I would like to find another one myself and sell the malibu then I could biuld 1 race and 1 criuse and wouldnt have to make up my mind what to do with the 1. bowties said that other one had a califorina frame but I've never heard of that.

If I remember correctly the California frame was either boxed or smooth on the side but there was a difference....the other thing deals with weight....one's lighter than the other but I'll look to see if I can find it in one of my old books....55s had a problem rusting around the headlight.....but it also depends on what part of the country your in....I found a 150 in Florida.....it had rust everywhere.

Dude....you don't have to fool us....we know you were sleeping outside the theater to be first in line.....

I don't remember what happened to that 454, had a cam bearing problem....9" went to Bill....along with the traction bars that he caught on the railroad tracks...I believe Don's head might have pushed the windshield out....I know it straightened that leaf spring..

Not sure who got the 454.

I had actually forgotten we picked one up. until now.

I thought we picked it up at Roosevelt....when we laid to rest your 406...I know we took it to the machine shop after that.....blurry....

Might have gone to Bill......he seemed to pick up a lot of the parts we were getting rid of....

I seem to think Bobby Charles or someone like that got it. Maybe?

I actually looked at a motor last night that reminded me of that 406....guy had a 97 grand am that was running on 3 of 4 cylinders....when I asked what was wrong with number 4 he reaches under the car and pulls out half of rod cap.....he states that "I don't think this is supposed to be on the ground."  I just shook my head and said good luck.....

That was by far my biggest mess of any of them.
