Going good so far. I am cutting it a little close and may not make the cruise. I am still hoping I do!!!

Rocky said he is going to try to have color on the body this weekend.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for asking about it.  =)

Went by Rocky's late this afternoon. He was waiting for the door jambs to dry so he could hang the doors and fenders. I wouldn't be surprised to see paint on it by tomorrow evening!

Just got back from rocky's it's almost ready to paint. We just moved it into the booth. He was going to go over it one more time and then seal it. he will shoot it tonight or first thing tomorrow unless he catches someting wrong.

Sounds like when you have to pry on them that hard you need to take the mounts off, bolt them to the cups and drop it in and level it manually. This may sound like a lot of extra steps, but it has worked easier for me than breaking my back. Weld them puppies in. 8-)

I did everything you could think of. Tried every trick in the book. I've been stabbin motors on my own since I was fifteen. Never saw one as stubborn as my Nova!

Chris and I had a some fun w/ mine as well.
I have the solid motor mounts and they didn't want to line up.
But eventually we got it.
Also, we installed it at my old shop out on racetrack road which had a gravel floor.
So instead of moving the cherry picker around- we had to move the car- ;)
it was a pain-
LOL

I have been stabbing engines for a long time also. I just realized that since my Camaro started life as a V6 car and nothing was wanting to line up real well with a 1976 engine, this turned out to be a real easy solution. Also, I just assumed that if you were going to build a garage, you would spend the money putting in a concrete floor.  ;D Of course I do realize that this is SW Oklahoma, the land of the dirt floor. :-[

Just kidding on that last part. :D

Yee Haw!!! Thank God I'm a country boy.

Oh that's right. You will have a late nite at the O'Reilly's. That sucks. I am going to try and leave here at 5:30 to 6:00 and TNT is supposed to start at 7:00. I am not sure how late they go since this is my first trip to their track.
