Title: RC Tracks
Post by robztrux on 03/27/07 at 18:49:55
I heard rumor that they are putting in 3 remote control race tracks at altus speedway. 1 is supposedly going to be a high bank oval asphalt track another is a motocross type dirt track and not sure of the 3rd one.

I talked to don and he was pretty excited. He already knew about it. Sounds like I might need to dust off a few of mine.

Hey guys, I've been gone a while. I talk to the owner of the track last week, He told me they are going to have a track. He said he hopes to be racing the middle of April but i dont think it will be that soon. The only kind of track he talked about was motocross for now . I,ll try to keep everybody posted.

YES! I think this RC track will be the best thing that ever happened to altus besides Wal-Mart! I have a tricked out REVO and plans to get a truggy! I hope this is not a load of BS!  :-?

I have a couple I could blow the dust off of myself. Once I get my Nova done I might clean a couple up.

LOL
that was so much fun-
We'd run those truck wide open til the gas ran out or sometimes we would refuel w/ the engine running between heats.

Chris: remember that time Rob hit the pole
remember that time Rob hit the curb

Just kidding Rob ;)
That was a blast-

we can get Chris to open a section on here for RC stuff If we know for sure that they are opening that track so if anyone talks to those guys find out for us. Also tell everyone about this site start trying to get more people to sign up. We like for this to get huge.

Hey guys, the track is a go for know. I drove by there friday and they were starting to clear of the ground. I talk to Bill at rent city, he said Joe is going to build 2 tracks. The first on will be a motocross style, the other will be a banked dirt oval. he is planning to run on friday nights. Also, I'm hoping to have a hobby shop open in few weeks. I will be a traxxas dealer very soon .The name of the shop is D&J extreme hobbies, for a while I will be selling parts by order only until my inventory can get built up.

I'm not spending a dime until I see this track with my own two eyes! My Revo has needed a motor for almost a year now. I have no intrest in bashing at the local park. I hope this track is real. As soon as it opens I will buy a new motor and a truggy. I hope they are open one weekends so I can bash at the track. I have no intrest in racing. I drove to the city a few time to run up there but who wants to spend two hours on the highway just to run a rc truck at a track. RC Track in Altus? I will believe it when I see it! :-?

That's true!
that SOB was FAST! until it melted-
you probably had a sneaky pete nitrous kit on it and we didn't know it.

I drove by the speedway last night and they were still building the track. My Revo will be ready! Check out this Online hobby shop. They have the Hot Bodies Lightning Pro RTR on sale for $399.  They also carry about every part on the planet for Traxxas. Shipping is free for purchases above $100.
